当动作在说话的此刻正在进行时，使用现在进行时。常见时间标志包括 now、right now、at the moment、currently 等。在口语考试中，这类表达可用于描述自己正在做的事情或解释当前状态。

are 后面的动词必须使用 -ing 形式。描述当前社会趋势时，nowadays 可以和现在进行时连用，强调变化正在发生。

英语句子需要完整谓语结构。increasing 单独不能作谓语，必须与 is 构成现在进行时。

have 表示“拥有”时是状态动词，通常不用进行时。但 have 表示“吃、喝、参加、经历”时可用进行时，例如 I am having lunch。

现在进行时可表示近期已安排的未来事件，但动词必须变为 going。不要把 are going to do 与 are going 混淆：They are going to attend the conference 表示“他们打算参加会议”；They are going to the conference 表示“他们要去会议现场”。
